The Kagools are a multi award-winning physical comedy duo from the UK. Since their first full-length show in 2014, they’ve quickly gained fans far and wide. Their unique brand of spontaneous, anarchic buffoonery propels silent comedy into the 21st Century.
An equally sought-after headline act both at home and overseas, their critically acclaimed shows have toured extensively, with recent international appearances including Australia, Norway, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and South Korea.
Incredibly versatile, they delight everyone from raucous late night crowds to daytime family festivals.
The Kagools first full-length show, Kagoolio, enjoyed successful runs at Leicester Comedy Festival, Buxton Fringe, Brighton Fringe, Bath Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, Fringe World (Perth), Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Anywhere Festival (Brisbane); it received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. The show is an enchanting, bold, high-energy experience.
The Kagools second full-length show, Tutti, won three awards; Best Comedy Show – Amused Moose Award, Edinburgh Fringe 2017, Best Comedy Show – Weekly Award, Adelaide Fringe 2017, Best Comedy Show – Buxton Fringe 2016. Tutti was a natural development from the first show only with bigger tricks, higher flicks and a unicorn.
The Kagools third full-length show, Kula, was cooler than a cool thing. It previewed at Adelaide Fringe in March 2018. The show then went on to tour at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Singapore, Vietnam and finished at Edinburgh Fringe. Kula was a joyous icy ride, that included Tina Turner dances, Sinclair C5s and a cameo with a man from Hull called Howard.
Cirque Du Kagool is The Kagools’ fourth full length show and will debut in 2019. Already booked for shows in Tasmania, Melbourne and the UK, the drumroll has started….Watch this space for more updates.
