Carl Hutchinson was somewhat of a comedy prodigy starting stand up comedy in 2007 just one year into his mathematics degree at Newcastle University and quickly became a multi-award winning comedian.
He’s now well on his way to being one of the leading acts in the country. A big favourite on Comedy Central and so much so he’s the support act of choice for TV comedian, Chris Ramsey (BBC1s Live at the Apollo, and pretty much all the panel shows including ITVs Celebrity Juice and Never Mind the Buzzcocks etc). Normally the household names change support act for each tour but he’s been chosen for all of them!
Carl’s debut Edinburgh Fringe Festival solo show ‘Acceptable?’ made the Top 10 shows of the Amused Moose Laughter Awards 2012. In 2010 Carl starred in ITV’s FHM Comedy Hero and was part of Just the Tonic’s Big Value Edinburgh Showcase in 2011.
Over the past two years, Carl has supported sell out tours with WWE Legend Mick Foley on his UK tour and Chris Ramsey on his tour The Most Dangerous Man on Saturday Morning Television.
Carl has that immediately likeable star quality and uses it to get away with quite grumpy material about modern life that only makes you love him all the more.

“The phrase ‘One to watch’ gets bandied around a lot on the comedy circuit, but Carl is one of a few new comedians where it actually applies.” Evening Gazette
