Tanya Lee Davis is an international superstar and she may only be 3ft 6” but she gets big laughs around the world. You may recognise her from her storming sets on ‘Live at The Apollo’ (BBC1) and The John Bishop Show (BBC1). She also starred in ‘I’m Spazticus’ (Channel 4), ‘Abnormally Funny People’ (Sky), ITV’s ‘SuperHuman: World’s Smallest People’ (ITV). But perhaps her most impressive appearance was in Austin Powers 3: Goldmember – how many comedians can say that? Her other film credits include an appearance in “Fo’ The Love of Money.” She’s been a guest several times on the “Maury” show and appeared on Fox’s “30 Seconds to Fame.”
In 1999, she placed second in the Seattle Comedy Competition, where she was the first woman in 10 years to make it into the finals.
Last year she added to her resume winning the 4th Annual Norman G. Brooks Stand-up Comedy Competition in Hollywood. She also had a successful month-long run in August 2003 as part of The U.S. Comedy Invasion at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Her bold, saucy style often surprises and delights audiences. Its little wonder she’s one of the most sought after acts in comedy both here and across the globe because she’s one of the planet’s top comedians and this is a rare chance to see her in town. All Comedians claim to be unique, but here’s one that really is.
