Sean Meo Despite looking like he’s just stepped out of a Littlewoods catalogue, Sean Meo has actually been a professional stand-up since 1989. Before that, like his namesake Tony, he was a full time snooker player and was a quarter finalist in the English Championships of 1987. Since then, he has risen to the very top of the UK comedy scene and is much in demand as both a stand-up and a writer.
He’s been awarded the title Comic of The Year by Timeout Magazine. Sean has appeared at the Kilkenny, Cork and Montreal Comedy Festivals. On television, he has worked alongside such diverse names as Clive James and Jimmy Tarbuck and appeared on everything from Des O’Connor Tonight, Celebrity Squares, and Talking Telephone Numbers, to Talking About Sex for Channel 4.
He has performed all over the world including Montreal, Singapore, Melbourne, New Zealand, Ireland and extensively in the US including San Francisco, New York the Riviera in Las Vegas.
As a result Sean has a reputation as one of the most reliably funny act on the international circuit and we are happy he’s going to be bringing his hilarious act to town.
