Ola Labib is known for her infectious charm, edgy comedy material and wry humour. Being the only Black, Muslim, female, Sudanese comedian currently performing in the UK. Ola’s mission to smash stereotypes and expectations through stand up has resulted in her gigging at top venues nationwide.
Her charming presence and engaging stories are inspired by both her strict Islamic and traditional African upbringing. Citing her father as her biggest comedy hero, she notes her other influences as Dave Chapelle and Ricky Gervais, which is reflected in her comedy.
She has several exciting projects in the pipeline and recently appeared on The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) and is currently in development with another CBBC project, whilst also working alongside Afromic on a documentary project.
Ola has appeared on BBC’s Funny Festival Live, Yesterday, Today & The Day Before (Comedy Central), and The Lateish Show (Channel 4) with Mo Gilligan.
With an animated and cheeky personality she can be seen in her weekly online series ‘Would You Rather’ where she makes even the most calm and collected guests sweat, and in her Kashta Lab Podcast, which she co-presents with her husband, American rapper, Ramey Dawoud.
