A legend on the UK comedy circuit Mike Bubbins has supported Rich Hall on tour, performs at festivals up and down the country and while he may be blowing his own trumpet, he’s pretty sure (and we are too) he’s the only comedy performer, writer & actor in the world who has also been a professional rugby player, a teacher, a bodybuilder, and a finalist at the European Elvis Tribute Act Championship. Honestly.
Mike has written & starred in three series for BBC Radio Wales; ‘Mike Bubbins-Daytripper’, ‘2 Men 1 Job’ & hit paranormal comedy ‘The Unexplainers’ which reached No. 4 in the UK Comedy Podcast Chart. He’s also a regular host for BBC Radio Wales live outside broadcasts & specials, is a guest presenter on Rhod Gilbert’s Radio Wales show & has appeared on Lucy Beaumont’s BBC R4 comedy ‘To Hull & Back’.
As an actor, Mike has starred in two independent features films, both currently in post-production and was the face of Supercell’s most recent advertising campaign for the hugely popular, Clash Royale games. He also appeared in the Molto Croissant ads last year.
Most recently Mike returned from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he debuted his newest solo show, ‘Retrosexual Male’. Currently, he is working on a number of exciting projects both on and off-screen.
