Geoff Norcott was previously an English Literature teacher and employs this in developing his routine. He has written comedy sketches for MTV, BBC Radio 2 & 4 and in 2007 and 2008. He was a commissioned writer for Nuts TV. He was also involved with developing the football documentary Football Hurts.
You might have seen his name pop up in the credits of any number of top comedy shows, including: ‘8 out of 10 Cats’, ‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘C4’s Alternative Election’, ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’, ‘The British Comedy Awards’ and many more.
In 2009, Norcott had his second solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Shocking Truth about Men and Women at the Pleasance.
Norcott is a supporter of the Conservative Party. His 2016 Edinburgh show, Conswervative, focused on his rarity as a pro-Brexit Conservative voter on the comedy circuit.
As of January 2018, Norcott stars on BBC2’s The Mash Report.
